Tainan Phoenix were invited to Taichung for a friendly game at the Morrison pitch and showed under the lights with a large contingent of players.

Both teams typically contend for top places in the quarterly Taiwan Championship tournament, and were anxious to get a test match in to gauge each-other's strength. The tournament is scheduled for November 8th and 9th in Kaohsiung.

Match results were 2-1 in favor of the Tainan Phoenix in a hotly contested battle that saw both sides with a number of chances.

A number of Taichung Compass players were absent from the match, possibly making the difference in the result. Some new players have joined the team in the past months, and the team is getting back on its collective feet with positioning and rhythm.
