Although Compass had high hopes going into the tournament, we did not progress past the first round robin group of six, ending third in our group.

Saturday, October 25, 2008:
Tainan Phoenix were invited to Taichung for a friendly game at the Morrison pitch and showed under the lights with a large contingent of players.

Both teams typically contend for top places in the quarterly Taiwan Championship tournament, and were anxious to get a test match in to gauge each-other's strength. The tournament is scheduled for November 8th and 9th in Kaohsiung.

Match results were 2-1 in favor of the Tainan Phoenix in a hotly contested battle that saw both sides with a number of chances.

Congratulations to Taichung Compass for winning the Champion's Cup in the 2008 Taiwan Spring Cup!

After a shaky start with a 0-2 loss to JFC in the group stage, the lads rallied with a win over the Taichung Scunners and a draw with the Red Lions to get through into the Cup Competition group stage as second in the group.

The 2008 Taiwan Spring Football Tournament has been confirmed for March 8 and 9 in Taipei at Da Jia Riverside Park. The spring tournament is usually held in Tainan, but due to some conflicts, it will be held in Taipei this year.

Taichung Compass beat the Taichung Tubbies 3-1 in short-sided 9-on-9 action. Up front, Allan, Ben, DJ and Seb ran circles around the Tubbies defense, while honorable mention goes to Austin, who played a great game in the net and on the field.

We had some unexpected extra help from a Compass United alumni, Jeff Lorico, who played an awesome game, as well as from one of DJ's friends, Chris.
